Turning Static Newsletters into Interactive, Seasonal Stories
From June to October 2025, I redesigned IAS’s newsletter to increase engagement while reflecting the brand’s identity. Animated headers introduced seasonal storytelling and subtle motion, modernizing communication while staying professional and data-driven.

Overload of information
Newsletters were over-informative, making it hard for readers to focus on key content.
Static visuals
The previous header used flat imagery that didn’t reflect the energy or precision of IAS’s brand.
Weak thematic consistency
Each edition felt disconnected, with no shared design thread across seasons or campaigns.
Newsletters were over-informative and static, with repetitive layouts resulting in low click-through rates.
IAS’s existing newsletters had strong content but lacked visual engagement.
Through feedback from the marketing team, we identified three main challenges:
Design direction
The system balanced precision and personality, using data-inspired vector graphics and seasonal colour palettes. Typography, spacing, and hierarchy remained consistent to preserve professionalism, while motion humanised the experience and reinforced the brand.


Early explorations
I tested vector illustrations and animation pacing across seasonal themes to align motion with IAS’s visual standards. Prototypes emphasised clarity, scalability, and email performance while ensuring each header felt fresh and on-brand.




Team collaboration
I worked closely with marketing and brand teams through reviews to refine motion, colour, and hierarchy. Feedback confirmed the design was engaging, cohesive, and aligned with IAS’s identity for both internal and external communications.
